Experience the impressive SWISS A350 business class flight from Zurich to Boston, featuring luxurious space and attentive service.

Special Flight from Zurich to Boston

Recently, I had the opportunity to experience the SWISS A350-900 business class flight from Zurich (ZRH) to Boston (BOS), lasting 7 hours and 55 minutes. This was a journey I had eagerly awaited, as it marked my first flight on SWISS's brand new A350, complete with the impressive SWISS Senses cabin.

I had read numerous reviews and learned that the business class offerings on the A350 from Lufthansa and SWISS are quite similar in quality, with only a few minor differences. Nonetheless, I was drawn to the luxurious design and thoughtful service that SWISS provides.

Booking Business Class Tickets

I booked my entire itinerary in one go. Specifically, I used 87,500 Air Canada Aeroplan points and paid an additional $138.02 in taxes and fees. My journey consisted of:

  • 11/22 TG940: Bangkok to Milan, departing at 12:35 AM, arriving at 7:10 AM
  • 11/22 LX1613: Milan to Zurich, departing at 10:30 AM, arriving at 11:35 AM
  • 11/22 LX52: Zurich to Boston, departing at 5:30 PM, arriving at 8:00 PM

Notably, booking through Aeroplan from Asia to the U.S. via Europe offers exceptional value, and if you want to include a stopover in Europe, you only need to add an extra 5,000 points.

Relaxing in the Business Lounge

Before my flight, I enjoyed a brief respite in Zurich. This time, instead of visiting SWISS's famous lounges like the SWISS First Lounge or SWISS Senator Lounge, I headed straight to gate E56 for my departure.

The boarding announcement was delayed by 10 minutes, but first and business class passengers were given priority. I felt genuinely happy stepping onto the new A350; the atmosphere was truly luxurious.

SWISS Senses Business Cabin

The SWISS Senses business cabin on the A350 features 45 seats, divided into two distinct sections. The front section has 20 seats, located between two doors, while the rear section contains 25 seats.

The seats are designed in a variety of styles, offering five different options for passengers. There are seats with individual pricing available for selection, and of course, the business class suite seats are the top choice that everyone wants to try.

The Best Seats

If you're seeking absolute privacy, the four suite seats at the front of each business cabin are the pinnacle choice. With their own doors and spacious surroundings, these seats not only provide comfort but also the necessary coziness.

If you're traveling with someone else, the pairs of seats situated together are also fantastic. However, it's worth noting that not all seats offer the same level of comfort, as some are positioned closer to the aisle and may be subject to more disturbances.

Other Seat Options

Within the cabin, you'll find several center seats known as “throne” seats, which offer ample space and comfort. That said, I must admit I wasn't sure if I'd want to pay extra to sit there, as it felt a bit cramped due to the surrounding walls.

Flight Experience

I selected seat 7A, a window seat with plenty of space beside it, although this seat is ideal for those needing a bed for children. After the experience, I felt thoroughly satisfied with everything. The amenities and attentive service from the flight attendants truly made this experience even more memorable.

Flying on SWISS's A350 was an exceptionally special experience, and I find myself wondering when I'll have the chance to do it again.
