Chomp Chomp Food Centre Reopens After Renovation
Chomp Chomp Food Centre, one of Singapore's beloved food hubs, officially reopened its doors on January 27 after a three-month renovation. With its striking new orange-grey signage, the center has attracted many food enthusiasts. But this isn't just a reopening; it also marks the debut of two exciting new food stalls.
Unique Pizza Experience: That's My Pizza
Among the new stalls, That's My Pizza stands out as the most noteworthy. Janelle and her sister Janice, the masterminds behind this pizza stall, previously operated a delivery service in Serangoon North before making the move to Chomp Chomp. The stall is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 5 PM to 8:30 PM.
The name of this pizza stall might sound familiar, as it was inspired by their sister Christina, who started a similar venture at the Bukit Timah market. Christina still runs other stalls and has taught Janelle and Janice the art of making pizza with a 72-hour fermented dough, ensuring the pizzas are light and satisfying. Their pizzas are handcrafted, baked in just 90 seconds, and they offer an impressive variety of 31 different options, including dessert pizzas.
Signature Pizza Delights
Prices for the pizzas start at 18 SGD for the Nutella Marshmallow variety and go up to 39 SGD for the Truffle Black Four Cheese. One dish you shouldn't miss is the Japanese Chashu Kurobuta, featuring tender meat cooked in a rich, flavorful sauce.
Xiao Lan Ban Mee: Traditional Delicacies
The second stall, equally enticing, is Xiao Lan Ban Mee, which serves ban mian and mee hoon kueh. Seng, the owner, has years of experience as a hotel chef and has now decided to open a stall dedicated to his favorite ban mian dish.

Customers can enjoy dishes like Mee Hoon Kueh Soup (5.30 SGD) and Tomyum Seafood Ban Mee (7.30 SGD). Notably, the Spicy Ban Mee is served in an eye-catching bowl of soup, offering a mild spiciness that enhances the flavor without overwhelming the palate. Fresh ingredients like fish, minced meat, and greens elevate the dish further.
Travel Tips for Vietnamese Visitors
For those planning to visit Singapore, it’s important to be aware of visa requirements based on your nationality. Vietnamese travelers will need to obtain a visa prior to arrival. Flight tickets from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Singapore currently range around 3 million VND. Singapore uses the Singapore Dollar (SGD), with an exchange rate of approximately 16,600 VND for 1 SGD. Chomp Chomp Food Centre is located in the Serangoon Gardens area, easily accessible by MRT or taxi from the city center.
Don’t forget to try the unique dishes available here, especially if you’re a fan of pizza and traditional Singaporean fresh ingredients.
So, if you find yourself at Chomp Chomp Food Centre, make sure to check out these new stalls. Get ready to savor a variety of exciting and fresh flavors that you won't find anywhere else.
