An Encounter at Miami Airport

On the afternoon of March 29, 2026, a heated argument erupted at Miami International Airport between passengers and staff from Frontier Airlines over carry-on baggage fees. The drama unfolded when three women attempted to board their flight with more luggage than allowed, despite having already paid for their items.

Trouble Erupts

Frontier Airlines is known for charging fees for everything beyond a personal item. So, when an employee noticed the issue at the boarding gate, they asked the group of women to step aside and pay for the extra luggage. Instead of complying, one of them retorted, “We don’t have to listen.” They proceeded to push through the restricted area and board the plane, disregarding the staff's instructions.

What Were the Consequences?

Immediately, Frontier canceled their boarding passes and called the police. When law enforcement arrived, they asked the women to leave the plane, but all three repeatedly refused. The situation escalated to the point where all remaining passengers had to disembark before the police could intervene. Notably, one woman was accused of reacting violently and even spat at a flight attendant.

Legal Ramifications

The three women, including 30-year-old Nafisa Dockery, 21-year-old Dionjana Cochran, and 26-year-old Davana Cochran, were arrested at the airport and faced charges of trespassing and resisting arrest. The flight was delayed for over an hour due to this incident. One of the women was also charged with violent behavior towards staff.

Things to Consider

It’s understandable that Frontier’s baggage fees can feel like a penalty to customers. Their ultra-low-cost model relies on separating services, with carry-on luggage being a major revenue source. However, there’s no secret about how Frontier has operated for years; times have changed, and it’s now 2026.

Analyzing the Situation

Once your boarding pass is canceled, you are no longer considered a passenger. Remaining on the plane means you are trespassing. Arguing at the gate is one thing, but ignoring staff and defying police orders is entirely different. Honestly, I can’t fathom what those three women were thinking when they acted this way. Did they genuinely believe they could avoid paying for their luggage?

Conclusion

The three women were removed from the Frontier flight and arrested for refusing to pay for their carry-on luggage while still attempting to board. Charging past a gate agent and trying to force your way onto a plane has never succeeded, and it never will. They deserve to be banned from flying Frontier permanently… and they could easily travel between Philadelphia and Florida via Greyhound bus instead.
