A review of SAS A350 Business Class: Is the quality, service, and flying experience still worth your investment? Find out now!
Introduction to SAS A350 Business Class
SAS A350 Business Class is an airline experience I'm quite familiar with, and my recent flight provided the perfect opportunity to reassess whether it still holds its charm. Previously, I’ve written several reviews about SAS A350 Business Class, covering flights from Los Angeles to Copenhagen as well as from Chicago to Copenhagen. I've also experienced both economy and premium economy on the same aircraft.
Booking Information and Itinerary
I booked my ticket using SAS EuroBonus points for a trip from Zurich to Chicago with a layover in Copenhagen. This flight cost me 60,000 points for one-way business class and about $120 for taxes and fees. Additionally, children only needed 30,000 points each, which is incredibly convenient for families. In total, the trip for four people cost 180,000 points and under $500 in fees.
Upon arriving in Copenhagen, we enjoyed an hour in the SAS Lounge before heading to our gate. I particularly loved the coffee and pastries there, but I also appreciated the refreshing cucumber and radish snacks available in the lounge.
Boarding Process and Seat Configuration
The day was bustling, and boarding was slightly delayed. When our group was called, it seemed like everyone was in a hurry, and my family wasn’t among the first to board. The flight was SAS 943 from Copenhagen (CPH) to Chicago (ORD), departing at 2:30 PM and lasting 9 hours and 15 minutes, using an Airbus A350-900.
I opted for seats 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A, as these window seats were perfect for my family. The seats are based on the Thompson Aero Vantage XL design, and I found the cabin to be well-maintained and comfortable, even when fully reclined, although there were limited air vents.

In-flight Menu and Service
I had quite an enjoyable dining experience on this flight. Lunch began with a serving of mixed nuts and beverages, including apple juice and sparkling water. Notably, the rye and sourdough bread from SAS was delightful. Two flight attendants, dressed in chef uniforms, added a cozy touch to the meal service.
The appetizer featured snow crab and salmon terrine with potato in clam sauce, which was delicious. The main course consisted of adobo beef ribs with mashed potatoes and vegetables, providing a fantastic taste experience. To top it off, I savored a dessert that included cheese, fruit, and a cake, accompanied by a delicious cappuccino.
Entertainment and Wi-Fi Connectivity
Regarding in-flight entertainment, I found the Wi-Fi to be fairly stable and complimentary for business class passengers. However, the movie and TV show library was somewhat limited compared to many competitors. I did discover an interesting film titled "Just Mercy" to enjoy during the flight.
Review and Comparison with Other Airlines
I have flown business class on the SAS A350 multiple times and feel that while the product is quite stable, it doesn't leave a particularly strong impression. Compared to other airlines, I rate SAS slightly lower than American carriers due to the lack of air vents and a less diverse IFE selection.
Is SAS A350 Business Class Still Worth It?
The answer is yes, SAS A350 Business Class remains a reasonable choice. If you're looking to save on costs, it is consistently one of the cheapest options. If you have enough EuroBonus points and flexibility with your schedule, this is one of the best current offerings.
Conclusion
I had a comfortable flight from Copenhagen to Chicago on the SAS A350. We still have over 1.2 million EuroBonus points, so I plan to continue flying with SAS in the future. While there’s nothing particularly extraordinary about the experience, the service and quality are reliably good.
