How to Use Global Companion Awards

The Global Companion Awards are extremely flexible. To use them, you need to have available seating for two passengers. You can fly on Alaska, Hawaiian, or any airline partner within the Atmos Rewards program.

I once booked a ticket using the 25,000-point award, and the process was quite straightforward. You go to the “Discounts and Companion Fare” section in your Atmos Rewards account, look for the code for the “Global Companion Award 25K.” You can either copy the code or click “Use to Book” to be directed to the Alaska booking page.

Booking Process with Global Companion Awards

On the booking page, the discount code will automatically fill in the “Promo Code” field. You simply enter your departure city, destination, travel dates, and the number of passengers. I used points to book a first-class flight from Miami to Salt Lake City, costing 25,000 points for each person.

Upon completion, you’ll see a total cost of 25,000 points, plus taxes and fees for both passengers. It's important to pay with the Atmos Rewards Summit card to waive the $12.50 booking fee per person.

The Value of Global Companion Awards

The Global Companion Awards are a significant part of the value of the Atmos Rewards Summit card. Personally, I often use a lot of Atmos Rewards points for flights on various airlines, especially American.

I frequently book short flights using these points and find it very convenient. While the value of these awards depends on individual needs, if you often travel with someone else, these awards can be incredibly valuable.
