Now, Napa Rose aims to create a first-class dining experience not just for local patrons but also for park visitors. Gone are the days of simple fare like mac-and-cheese or Dole Whip; Napa Rose is now vibrant and ready to impress.
A Cozy Yet Elegant Space Inspired by California Wines
Napa Rose has undergone a transformation, presenting a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. The Craftsman style features dark wood and inviting hues of brown and gold. Instead of the playful Disney imagery, this new space focuses on the rich history of California wine.
Golden murals surround the main dining area, narrating the history of renowned grape varieties from Zinfandel to Cabernet Sauvignon. The highlight includes chandeliers mimicking grape clusters and abstract designs inspired by California's landscapes, woven into the carpeting.
A Team of Wine Experts
In preparation for the grand reopening, Kirchen trained 56 staff members over 10 weeks with a sommelier certification course. Everyone passed the exam and is now equipped to recommend the perfect wine pairings for dishes ranging from grilled meats to seasonal pasta.

This training program has been so successful that Disney is considering expanding it to master sommelier training at other high-end restaurants throughout Disneyland.
Appealing to Non-Wine Drinkers
Not everyone is a wine enthusiast, but the team at Napa Rose is eager to help you explore. Kirchen states they want to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where guests can comfortably discover their wine preferences. They will even ask about your favorite movies or memorable meals to suggest wines that complement your tastes.
The staff won’t hesitate to recommend a premium version of the familiar supermarket wines you enjoy.
Gourmet Cuisine Paired with California Wines
Napa Rose doesn’t stop at wine. At the bar, they recycle kitchen ingredients to craft unique cocktails, including vodka-infused strawberry drinks. The chef’s table experience remains, but now reservations can be made online, increasing opportunities for diners to secure a spot in this sought-after setting.
The restaurant offers more than just the park's famous soft cookies. The beloved Smiling Tiger Salad has been reimagined and is now exclusively available on the lounge's small bites menu. Additionally, the new Wagyu steak has quickly become a favorite, served with grape mustard and seasonal fish paired with lemon foam.
A Unique Experience at Napa Rose
While prices may be slightly higher than typical park meals, Kirchen believes visitors are eager to indulge in this experience. “We’re offering elevated layers of experience,” he says. “This will be a top-tier dining experience at the resort.”
