FairPrice is committed to maintaining prices for 100 essential items this month, providing support to families during challenging economic times.
Economic Challenges: FairPrice Offers Support
In light of global energy challenges and supply chain issues, FairPrice has implemented various measures aimed at a clear goal: helping families manage their daily lives as costs become increasingly unpredictable. From April 9 to May 31, 2026, FairPrice will maintain the prices of 100 frequently purchased essential items, making it easier for customers to manage their household budgets and continue accessing their daily needs.
List of Price-Stable Products
This list of products has been selected based on FairPrice's internal data, which shows that over 90% of users with green and orange CHAS cards regularly shop for these items. This highlights the strong community interest in essential products available in the market.
Impact on Family Budgets
Food prices are a significant part of household expenditures, accounting for over 20% of total spending in Singapore, particularly a heavy burden for low-income families. While maintaining stable prices for essential items cannot completely eliminate financial pressure, it at least helps consumers ease the strain of daily spending.
Special Discounts for CHAS Cardholders
During this period, FairPrice is also doubling the discounts for green and orange CHAS cardholders from 3% to 6%. These cards are part of the Community Health Assistance Program, which provides subsidies for low- and middle-income households in Singapore.
Technological Advancements for Customer Support
FairPrice is not stopping at these programs. They are also enhancing the way they support customers. The integration of MyInfo into their app in 2025 has enabled nearly 900,000 Link members to automatically update their personal information.

Convenient Shopping Experience
For most customers, simply scanning their Link membership card or using the app at checkout is enough for the system to recognize their eligibility and automatically apply the appropriate discounts. In 2025, over S$25 million was returned to customers through Linkpoints redemption and targeted discount programs.
Tackling Inflation
All of these efforts form a steady and practical response to inflationary pressures. This approach does not completely resolve the issue but focuses on alleviating the daily consumer experience related to essential products.
Looking Ahead
FairPrice is also actively exploring ways to expand or enhance existing support. The organization is committed to regularly reviewing these measures to provide ongoing assistance and peace of mind, allowing families to shop comfortably without financial worries.
