Explore Delta Air Lines' new Delta One Lounges with detailed insights into their locations, access requirements, and tips for Vietnamese travelers.

An Overview of Delta One Lounges

Delta Air Lines is recognized as a leading airline in the United States, but for a long time, it lagged behind competitors in offering premium lounges for international travelers. While American Airlines boasts its Flagship Lounges and United Airlines has its Polaris Lounges, Delta began rolling out its Delta One Lounges only in 2024. Currently, there are four Delta One Lounges in operation, with more expected to open in the near future.

Locations of Delta One Lounges

Delta One Lounges are currently available in four major U.S. cities: New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Boston (BOS), and Seattle (SEA). These lounges have been designed to provide the best experience for passengers flying in Delta’s business class.

Delta One Lounge New York (JFK)

The first lounge opened in Terminal 4 of New York's Kennedy Airport, situated between Concourse A and B, conveniently near the security checkpoint. Open daily from 4:30 AM to 11 PM, this lounge spans approximately 40,000 square feet, accommodating up to 515 guests. It features modern amenities, including a full-service restaurant, a wellness area, and an outdoor terrace that remains open year-round.

Delta One Lounge Los Angeles (LAX)

Opened shortly after JFK, this lounge is located in Terminal 3 of Los Angeles International Airport, close to the Sky Club. It operates from 4:15 AM to 10 PM daily. Smaller in size at around 10,000 square feet, it offers a la carte dining options and delicious sushi. The lounge also includes a wellness area with massage chairs and an outdoor terrace.

Delta One Lounge Boston (BOS)

The third lounge, located in Terminal E of Logan Airport in Boston, operates from 3:30 PM to 7:45 PM. At approximately 6,700 square feet, it is the smallest of the lounges, focusing on New England seafood cuisine. The lounge features private restrooms, but shower facilities are shared with the Sky Club.

Delta One Lounge Seattle (SEA)

The fourth lounge is situated in Concourse A of Seattle's Tacoma Airport. It is open from 8:30 AM to 4 PM, extending to 6 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Like the LAX lounge, it covers around 10,000 square feet and boasts beautiful views of Mount Rainier.

Future Locations of Delta One Lounges

While Delta has quickly opened four Delta One Lounges, it will take more time before the next ones are launched. The Delta One Lounge in Atlanta (ATL) is expected to open in 2028, with additional locations planned in Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis (MSP), and Salt Lake City (SLC), though specific dates have yet to be announced.

Access Rules for Delta One Lounges

To access Delta One Lounges, travelers must present a boarding pass for Delta One (premium business class) or be first-class passengers of partner airlines like Air France, KLM, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic. Note that guests are not allowed to accompany you. However, Delta 360 members can bring family or friends for a fee ranging from $100 to 10,000 Delta SkyMiles.

Helpful Information for Vietnamese Travelers

If you're planning to fly with Delta Air Lines and want to experience the Delta One Lounges, keep in mind that you will need a U.S. visa if traveling from Vietnam. The visa cost typically ranges from 2-5 million VND, depending on the type and processing time. Flight tickets from Vietnam to New York or Los Angeles usually range from 15-25 million VND for economy class and about 50-70 million VND for business class. It's advisable to book your tickets at least a month in advance for the best prices. Be sure to check flight times during the winter or summer, as ticket prices may increase due to high demand.
