How to View Chicago's Skyline

Lake Point Tower

Fun Fact: This is the only skyscraper located east of Lake Shore Drive. Lake Point Tower is famous for its reflective glass that captures sunlight from Lake Michigan, giving the building a brilliant golden hue. Its curved shape is said to have inspired the Chicago-born designer of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The top floor features the upscale restaurant Cité, which offers unbeatable 360-degree views.

400 Lake Shore

Fun Fact: This is the first skyscraper project at this location since the cancellation of the Chicago Spire. Located at the intersection of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, 400 Lake Shore is one of the most prominent additions to the skyline. This project will replace the long-abandoned Chicago Spire site and will include two towers, with the northern tower reaching approximately 858 feet.

AMA Plaza

Located next to the Chicago River, AMA Plaza is home to the Langham, a luxury hotel with two renowned restaurants. Downtown

This is the busiest part of the skyline, home to many of the tallest office towers and historic landmarks. Many of Chicago's most famous attractions are located within just a few blocks here.

Fun Fact: The building underwent a complete renovation costing $80 million after significant temperature fluctuations caused a piece of marble to fall off. Aon Center is one of the tallest buildings in Chicago, distinguished by its simple rectangular design clad in white granite.
