The next morning, I was greeted by the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in Loch Torridon. Despite the chilly waters that might deter some, the invigorating sensation made every moment worthwhile. Following my swim, I participated in a yoga session with instructor Rebecca Winifred-Edie, who helped me discover the true meaning of the mountain pose while surrounded by actual mountains.
Connecting with Nature through Unique Activities
The hotel organizes numerous activities that foster a connection with nature, one of which is a forest bathing experience with Hamish Martin. Hamish shares the wonders of nature through stories about trees and their vast root communication systems. This experience helped me notice the delicate details of the natural world around me, from tree bark to pine cones.

Exquisite Dining at The Torridon
When it comes to cuisine, The Torridon's 1887 restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and a green Michelin star in 2026 under the talented chef Danny Young. The diverse menu features local seafood like langoustine from Loch Torridon and North Sea fish, making it a fantastic opportunity to savor Scottish flavors.
Notably, the hotel’s bar offers an impressive selection of 365 different whiskies, allowing visitors to enjoy a new whisky each day of the year. There’s also a variety of Scottish gins to sample, including Arcturus Gin, crafted from herbs grown in the hotel’s kitchen garden.

The Torridon is an ideal destination for a relaxing getaway amidst spectacular natural scenery. To reach there from Vietnam, you can fly to Inverness, followed by a two-hour drive. Visa-wise, Vietnamese citizens need to apply for a tourist visa before visiting the UK. Flight prices from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City to Inverness range from 15 to 20 million VND, depending on the season and booking time. Room rates at the hotel start at around 15 million VND per night for a Classic room, which includes breakfast.
