National Brotherhood of Snowsports

Founded in 1973, the National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS) aims to enhance the presence of Black individuals in winter sports. The organization's early members faced significant challenges due to racial discrimination, often having to travel far to reach ski resorts. Today, NBS hosts the world's largest annual conference for Black skiers and snowboarders, featuring a variety of exciting activities.

Camp Yoshi

Established in 2020 by Rashad Frazier and his family, Camp Yoshi provides outdoor adventures, taking care of everything from campsite setup to essential gear. Outdoor Afro

When it comes to the movement for Black outdoor exploration, Outdoor Afro is a standout name. Starting as a blog in 2009, it has evolved into a network that helps thousands experience nature. This nonprofit organization hosts numerous beginner-friendly events, from hiking to camping, aiming to connect the Black community with land, water, and wildlife.

National Association of Black Scuba Divers

The National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABSD) has been a hub for diving enthusiasts since 1991. It brings together Black divers and addresses the barriers that hinder participation in the sport. With over 2,000 members, the organization connects them through training programs, educational resources, and national diving conferences.

Black Surfers Collective
