Discovering the Enchanted Land: Must-Do Activities in Cornwall

If you're searching for a romantic getaway in England, Cornwall is an absolute must-visit. With its stunning beaches and charming fishing villages, it’s a place where you can easily spend a week exploring. Although its vastness might seem overwhelming, I’m here to share some unmissable spots that we’ve enjoyed during our many visits to Cornwall.

St Michael’s Mount - The Serene Island

One of Cornwall's most iconic landmarks is St Michael’s Mount. This small island, not far from the coast, is reminiscent of Mont Saint-Michel in France. You can stroll around the island, explore its beautiful architecture, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Don’t forget to stop by Harbour Loft for a light lunch!

Minack Theatre - A Unique Outdoor Theatre

Minack Theatre is one of the most impressive open-air theatres in England, located about a 20-minute drive from Penzance. From May to September, you can enjoy performances here. If you can’t make it to a show, you can still visit the theatre area and take in the breathtaking views of Porthcurno Beach from above.

Rame Head - A Nature Lover’s Paradise

If you enjoy exploring nature, Rame Head is the perfect destination in Cornwall. You can walk along the coastline and visit St Michael’s Chapel. Particularly at sunset, the scenery here is truly awe-inspiring.

Newquay - The Vibrant Hub of Gorgeous Beaches

Newquay is famous for its beaches and surfing activities. If you love the ocean, be sure to visit Fistral Beach and Newquay Beach. You can also enjoy dinner at Fort Inn while watching a spectacular sunset.

St Ives - The Artistic Heart by the Sea

St Ives is an attractive coastal town near Penzance. While you’re there, don’t miss visiting Tate St Ives, one of the four renowned Tate galleries. Savoring fresh seafood at a beach café while soaking in the golden sun and blue sea is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Port Isaac - The Charming Fishing Village

Port Isaac is a quaint little fishing village located on Cornwall’s Atlantic coast. Strolling through its narrow streets and enjoying delicious mussels at The Golden Lion is a must. Be sure to explore nearby Polzeath Beach, a tranquil and enchanting spot.

Lizard Point - The Majestic Southernmost Point

Lizard Point, the southernmost point of England, is ideal for immersing yourself in the untouched and serene natural landscape. The coastal trails here will lead you through stunning vistas, especially at sunset.
