However, this dish did lack the characteristic “wok hei” flavor typically found in Penang’s kuey teow; if you’re searching for that, Lau Wan might not be your best bet.

The Sotong Kangkung here never disappoints. The fresh kangkung is perfectly blanched, and the squid is tender without being chewy. The sauce is just right, mildly sweet, and generously portioned. When combined with crushed peanuts and lime, the dish becomes even more tempting.
