Back in 2018, I first set foot in the Financial District (FiDi) of New York City, and I knew I wanted to stay. It's a spot that often goes unnoticed, but I found it incredibly fascinating. My morning itinerary kicked off with breakfast, starting the day right with a classic BEC bagel (bacon, egg, and cheese) from Liberty Bagels. If traditional bagels aren’t your thing, be sure to try their scallion cream cheese bagel instead.

Don’t forget to stop by the iconic Charging Bull statue nearby for some memorable photos. If you want to avoid long lines, take a short walk to the New York Stock Exchange and visit the Fearless Girl statue there.

Exploring Seaport and Pier 17

By 10 AM, my perfect day truly began as I arrived at Seaport. This is one of my favorite areas in FiDi, bustling with delicious restaurants, charming boutiques, and stunning waterfront views.

Make sure not to miss the Fulton Stall Market, which opens at 11:30 AM, where you can find tasty food and unique handmade items. I could easily spend the whole morning wandering around McNally Jackson, a bookstore filled with captivating titles.

Lunch with a View of the Hudson River

Come noon, I headed to PJ Clarke's to indulge in a famous burger I had heard so much about. Although this spot is technically in Battery Park City, it's close enough to FiDi that I consider it part of the experience.

If you have some time, take a stroll through Rockefeller Park or the Battery Park City Esplanade to enjoy the fresh air by the river.

Stunning Views from Above

At 2 PM, I visited the Oculus – a breathtaking architectural marvel that resembles a piece of art. Inside, there are plenty of shops and eateries if you're in the mood for dessert.

From there, I made my way to the One World Observatory for panoramic views of the city. If you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend arriving early, as sunset hours are usually packed.

Relaxing at Beekman Hotel

By around 4:30 PM, I found myself at the Bar Room in Beekman, enjoying a cocktail. The ambiance here is fantastic, with classic and elegant decor, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day.

Dinner at the Historic Fraunces Tavern

At 7 PM, I made my way to Fraunces Tavern – the oldest bar in New York. This place not only serves delicious food but also offers a historical atmosphere with its old brick walls and classic interiors.

My favorite dish here is the Chicken Pot Pie, packed with a rich filling. The tavern also features live music every evening, ensuring there's never a dull moment.

Ending the Day at The Dead Rabbit

I often wrap up my long day at The Dead Rabbit with some exquisite cocktails. This Irish-style bar has a cozy and friendly vibe, perfect for chatting with friends.
