Luxury Getaway at Four Seasons Montreal
On my exciting journey exploring Bangkok via Paris, I spent a night at Four Seasons Montreal, which boasts 169 rooms. Before my stay, I had heard plenty of wonderful things about this hotel, and it certainly did not disappoint. I feel that Four Seasons consistently maintains top-notch service quality, which is undoubtedly a significant advantage when choosing to stay here.
The hotel features a modern yet cozy design, complete with comprehensive amenities and, most notably, delicious cuisine. Honestly, if given the chance, I would love to return; it’s just a pity that this trip was too brief.
Booking at Four Seasons Montreal
I booked my room on the very day of departure, and it seems I snagged the last available room (as the system later indicated no rooms were left). I have a rather long-winded explanation for this, but mainly, I wanted to keep my schedule flexible. The price for one night here is around $500. Thanks to my Amex credit card, I only had to pay $200 and received several perks, including a room upgrade (subject to availability) and $100 in hotel credit.
Location of Four Seasons Montreal
Four Seasons Montreal is located on Rue de la Montagne, at the intersection with Boulevard de Maisonneuve, right in the heart of Montreal's Golden Square Mile. The hotel is directly connected to the upscale department store Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options nearby on Saint Catherine Street.
Getting to the Hotel from the Airport
From Montreal Airport (YUL) to the hotel, it took me about 20 minutes by car. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Akash, a very attentive front desk staff member who helped me with my luggage and escorted me to the reception area. Although the hotel has a reception area on the ground floor, the main lobby is located on the third floor.
Hotel Lobby Atmosphere
The lobby at Four Seasons exudes luxury, with the reception desk on one side and plenty of seating on the other. My check-in process was quick and friendly. I received a credit of 100 CAD for breakfast and 130 CAD for food and beverages, which made spending quite comfortable.

Rooms at Four Seasons Montreal
Four Seasons Montreal has a total of 12 floors, and I was assigned room 815 on the 8th floor. The rooms here range from 38 to 44 square meters, offering plenty of space. The room features a long entrance, with the main area upfront, the bathroom on the left, and storage space on the right.
The beds at Four Seasons are considered the best in the hotel industry, and the king-size bed here was incredibly comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the four-poster bed, which is not something you see often in city hotels.
Room Amenities
Across from the bed, there’s a dining table with two chairs and a wall-mounted TV. Although I’m not a fan of hotels nowadays often omitting a desk in the room, the way Four Seasons designed the dining table to double as a workspace is a clever idea. The minibar is also located here, featuring a Lavazza coffee machine, a kettle, and a variety of drinks and snacks.
Bathroom in the Room
The bathroom includes a sink, a shower with BYREDO amenities, and a toilet in a separate room. I think I might have been in a bathroom designed for accessibility, so the layout may differ slightly from other bathrooms.
Other Amenities at the Hotel
The hotel features a pool and gym on the 6th floor. The gym is open 24/7 and is equipped with a full range of cardio and weight equipment. Four Seasons also has a stunning indoor pool, open daily from 7 AM to 8:30 PM. The changing area includes a sauna, steam room, and showers.
Culinary Experience at Four Seasons Montreal
Four Seasons Montreal offers a cohesive dining concept. All restaurants are located on the third floor, including Marcus Restaurant and the Marcus Lounge. Marcus Restaurant serves breakfast, brunch (on weekends), lunch, and dinner, and is quite popular with locals.
That morning, I met a friend here for brunch. We opted for the signature Marcus brunch, and I must say it was absolutely delicious! It included a bagel tower with smoked salmon along with many other delightful dishes.
