I was a bit disappointed by the absence of fried anchovies, as I love the crunchy and salty flavor they add to this dish. Nonetheless, the rest of the meal was still delightful.
The Nasi Lemak rice was soft and fluffy, and the sambal was not overly spicy but perfectly complemented the rice. The squid (sotong) was tender and flavorful, definitely leaving you wanting more.
Satay Delights at Sate 7 Pagi
The highlight of my meal was the Beef Satay (priced at 12.90 RM for 5 skewers). The satay is marinated with special spices for 12 hours before being grilled over hot coals, resulting in a rich and aromatic flavor. You can choose between chicken or beef satay, served with peanut sauce. The beef satay was truly exceptional; the meat was tender, and just a little peanut sauce enhanced its flavor.

The first bite was an exciting revelation, as the meat here was incredibly easy to chew, unlike any other satay I had tried before. Each piece was juicy and perfectly grilled, balancing sweetness and saltiness just right. Dipping the satay into the peanut sauce was genuinely addictive.
