Morning on the Caribbean Sea

Have you ever imagined waking up on a luxurious sailboat in the middle of the Caribbean? The journey aboard the Royal Clipper is a world apart from bustling cruise ships. Early in the morning, Charlie and I rise with the sun. The sea has a special allure that makes it easy to sync with the natural rhythm of dawn.

Today’s itinerary includes exploring Kingstown on St. Vincent, followed by a visit to Bequia in the afternoon. And tonight, there’s a pirate-themed party! Just the thought of it is exciting!

A Delicious Breakfast

At 7:30 AM, the breakfast bell chimes, reminding everyone that it's time to eat. In the dining room, I opt for a healthy breakfast of vegetable omelet prepared by Chef Mark from the Philippines. The delightful flavors of breakfast on board always leave me feeling satisfied.

Exploring Kingstown

By 8:30 AM, we hop onto a small boat to head ashore. Kingstown is the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and even though Fort Charlotte is under renovation, we decide to stroll around the city. At the local market, Charlie and I find a bandana to wear for tonight's pirate party. I suggest he pick a black one – eye-catching and perfectly fitting the theme!

One of my favorite things about traveling is discovering local supermarkets. This time, we scored some unique dragon fruit and pineapple sodas.

Sipping Coffee at Carib-Beans

At 10 AM, we stop by Carib-Beans, a charming café located in the Kingstown ferry terminal. Painted in pastel colors and adorned with greenery and local art, this spot is a delight. The iced latte here is so delicious that we still remember it a month later.

Back on the Ship and Climbing the Mast

Returning to the Royal Clipper, we find that the mast climbing activity has begun. Charlie is eager to give it a try, so we gear up and join in. The feeling of standing high above and looking down at the vast sea is indescribable, and my Insta360 photos capture it all vividly.

Relaxing Afternoon on Bequia Beach

In the afternoon, we dock at Bequia, another beautiful little island. We spend our time playing on Princess Margaret Beach, unwinding and relaxing after a busy morning.

Getting Ready for the Pirate Night

As night falls, the ship hosts a lively pirate night celebration. Everyone dresses up in pirate costumes and joins in on the fun games. The atmosphere is vibrant and filled with laughter, wrapping up a memorable day on the Caribbean waters.
